15 August 2015, Kuala Lumpur – Athletes and sports fanatics gathered at Berjaya Times Square Kuala Lumpur on 15th August 2015 as global sports mogul, PUMA, presented their first ever 24-Hour Trainathon series.
It was an international affair as the Trainathon series was kicked-off concurrently in Berjaya Times Square and in Beijing, China. This is the first of its kind to challenge pro-athletes and the community to take on a 24-hour training.

It didn’t stop there as the successful athletes did not only stand for prizes worth RM20,000, but also a trip to Hong Kong, to compete in the Trainathon finale that was held on 12th September 2015.
The victor team went home with RM5,000 in cash and RM6,000 worth of PUMA vouchers, while the 1st runner up team went away with RM5,000 worth of PUMA vouchers, and RM4,000 worth of PUMA vouchers for the 2nd runner up team.
According to PUMA Malaysia’s Assistant Marketing Manager, Tim Tham, this event is just the stepping-stone of what’s to come in future, as PUMA looks to reveal products catered for performance and hard-core training. “This is to show that we are serious to be in the game.”
As part of PUMA’s marketing campaign on training, a high intensity performance training shoe, IGNITE XT, was unveiled at the 24-Hour Trainathon, featuring top brand ambassadors like Usain Bolt and Arsenal Football Club. The much-anticipated trainers are available at all PUMA outlet stores for RM399.
