Review: Nike Epic React Flyknit 2

Take a moment to appreciate this beauty.

If you are looking for high-performance running shoes that are not only stylish, but also comfortable, the Nike Epic React Flyknit 2 is probably the one. A while back, I was in luck to have tried these out and here are some of the features I actually love about the Nike Epic React Flyknit 2.

I am not going to be cliche, but these running shoes are breathable, lightweight, and seriously snug. When the first impression about it was too good to be true, the design certainly gives great aesthetic pleasure. The cushion with Nike Epic React foam is another reason to change my running game.

First things first, the outsole of the shoes is a rubber material strategically placed in the forefoot and heel area. The rest of the outsole is the Nike Epic React foam. The purpose of the rubber placement is to provide the outer sole durability. The fluid geometry design of the foam offers flexibility, responsiveness, and smoother ride without compromising cushioning.

In the upper of these shoes is a one-piece Flyknit material. The Flyknit bootie constructed upper isn’t there just to make you look good, it also offers breathability, a glove-like fit and wraps your foot for a supportive feel.

In overall, the Flyknit is designed to provide you with seamless, featherweight, and form-fitting foot wrap. Aside from being stretchable, structured, and supportive which compliments my running performance, my foot remains sweat-free and cool even on warm running condition.

The midsole is another significant element that adds points to these shoes. The Nike Epic React Flyknit 2 features the popular React midsole foam. It is built to give you responsive and springy cushioning. It delivers a high level of shock absorption during landing and encourages a smoother heel-to-toe transition.

Last but not least, the high-energy return is yet another feature the React foam offers. Being a running enthusiast, the midsole offers consistent and long-lasting performance, kilometers after kilometers.

I have so far run in these shoes for not more than 10 kilometers. However, these are one of the great options for not only short runs, strength training, and everyday routine.
