Stepper Machine

Stepper machine should feel like you are climbing stairs naturally. It is as simple as that, anything that’s not natural, stop, avoid. You may have big steps or small steps by adjusting the difficulty level that are comfortable to you.

Mistake:

DO NOT lock your elbows holding on to the side handle. DO NOT lock your knees. Avoid tip toeing and going fast while holding on to the side bar, it will not give you any benefit but risk of injuries.

TIP OF THE MONTH

Going slow and focusing on abs muscle contraction works better than going fast and doing hundreds of crunches.

Treadmill Incline Walk

If you are a beginner or have not done much incline walk, avoid very high inclines. Walking on incline should feel natural and choose the speed and incline that’s comfortable. Lean forward to counter the incline.

Mistake:

Avoid holding the front and hanging your self on the incline. While doing that you will lock your knees and use you hips to move, it is counterproductive and does not give you any benefit yet could cause knee and lower back injuries in the long run. If you must hold on something, hold the side handles with just a finger or two touching for balance.

 Abdominal Crunches

Lie down on the bench with feet and hands at placement as shown in the picture. Crunch up slowly while your hands pull the head rest and breath out while crunching up. Do not lift your head off the head rest, relax your head/neck and let the abs do the lifting. Lower slowly.
