Clock Up Steps In Skechers Friendship Walk 2021 For A Fun and Quality Time With Loved Ones

The fourth year in running, the online event that aims to bring fun for the family and loved ones with attractive prizes up for grabs!

Malaysia, 30 July 2021 – Organised by sports and lifestyle brand SKECHERS for the fourth year running, the Skechers Friendship Walk 2021 Online Edition is back for a friendly and fun experience, as participants get to earn exciting Skechers rewards and join in a lucky draw to win the grand prize of the event.

This year’s Walk will be held from 30 July to 19 September 2021, during which participants can accumulate steps on their fitness tracker or device to reach different step goals across the two-week period within the event period. A good way to stay active even as we are staying home more often these days.

The virtual format we have adopted since last year has allowed more flexibility, as participants can join with their friends and family even though they may be physically apart. First held in Malaysia in 2017, the Skechers Friendship Walk was transformed into an online Walk format last year, where 10,000 participants joined in to track their walk distance in the span of the one-month event. Many also posted moments of their walk with friends and family, exploring their neighbourhood or even scenic and nature trails around Malaysia.

As part of the event, there will be attractive Skechers rewards up for grabs, with all participants  receiving an exclusive e-voucher upon the free entry sign-up for 20% off on regular priced shoes, bags and apparel, while participants who sign up with the Premium Pack purchase will receive an e-voucher for 30% off on regular priced shoes, bags and apparel. By attaining the step count in one of the four categories, participants will enjoy a 30% off on GOwalk 6 footwear, Skechers’ signature walking shoe series, and 40% off if they had signed-up with the Premium Pack.

With the first category beginning at 5,000 steps (358 steps/day), all casual runners and walking enthusiasts will be able to take part, even if it’s just a short daily stroll around your community. To enhance your walk experience, participants can choose to add-on Skechers Friendship Walk merchandise, comprising an event medal and event T-shirt. Once participants successfully submit their results and are signed up with the Premium Pack, the grand prize winner will be randomly picked and awarded with a year’s worth of Skechers shoes. In addition, participants are able to stand a chance to win a pair of Skechers GOwalk 6 footwear. Throughout the event period, participants are encouraged to participate in the photo contest published by HeyJom on Facebook. Participants will need to submit their photo during their walk in the comments section and one winner will be randomly selected after the event.
