Deuter Trail Run 2015

10th May 2015, Putrajaya

At about 7.15am, UFL gathered the 2,000 participants for a light warm-up session before the flag-off headed by former national bodybuilder and Universal Fitness and Leisure Sdn Bhd (UFL) executive director Datuk Malek Noor, which saw participants from all three categories leaving the starting point at the same time.

The toughest part of the run was from the 7km mark onwards, where runners faced more hills and winding trails. The last water stop came at the 9km marker. The organizers added an extra surprise midway by treating the runners with some fruit flavoured popsicles to keep their spirits up and running.

The final kilometer was the real test as runners experienced a series of obstacles including sliding downhill, finding steps through car tyres, and getting wet as they waded through a few miniature pools.

The event’s big winners were Mohamad Affindi Nudin, who won the Men’s Open title, while Jeffrey Ross and Azlinawati Husain Ben were the winners for the for the Men’s Veteran and Women’s Open categories, respectively.
