Reebok To Become Exclusive Fitness First Apparel Sponsor Across Five Countries

24 October 2016, Kuala Lumpur – Fitness First Asia (Fitness First) and Reebok today announced a two-year partnership in which Reebok will become the exclusive apparel sponsor for Fitness First employees in five countries. Through this partnership, Reebok conceptualised a special line of apparel for Fitness First to be worn by approximately 3,000 club employees in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

The custom apparel line, comprising polo and performance tees, boardshorts, track pants, capri pants, and jacket in Fitness First’s corporate colours of red, black and grey, all featuring Reebok proprietary SPEEDWICK technology for effective moisture management.

“With such a wide range of activities on offer to our members at Fitness First, Reebok’s range of apparel from yoga to performance wear for both indoor and outdoor makes them an ideal partner. Our brands share much in common; and as we innovate to bring the latest in fitness and wellness to our members, Reebok is innovating alongside with their ever-advancing apparel range,” said Simon Flint, Chief Executive Officer, Fitness
First Asia.

Henry Quek, Head of Reebok for Southeast Asia & Pacific concurred. “We’re excited to work with fitness leaders Fitness First – this partnership allows our two brands to combine brand reach and fitness appeal to inspire people to be active and live up to their fullest potential. This partnership will benefit not just Fitness First employees, but also members, as they will be eligible for exciting promotions and engage in various fitness activities from Reebok in their respective countries.”

The partnership also allows Fitness First and Reebok in these five countries to collaborate on the creation of co-branded apparel depicting Fitness First Signature programmes, as well as undertake joint marketing and promotions campaigns, such as the Reebok Spartan Race Preparedness Workout and various other in-club activities.

Fitness First is one of the largest fitness brands in the world and the largest in Southeast Asia. In Asia alone, there are 90 Fitness First clubs across Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Singapore, with a membership base of more than 215,000. As part of its ambitious five-year expansion programme, Fitness First Asia aims to grow by 40%, opening up to 35 new clubs across the region by 2020 and increasing memberships to more than 300,000.
