The variety of running shoe brands is manifold. Indeed, there is no single running shoe that is perfect for everyone. In order to pick the best running shoes, you need a bit of knowledge to find a shoe that will be perfect for you.

While all shoes may look the same, running shoes are not created equally. They are made of specialized technology and design features to complement your performance. They are designed to prevent injury from the repetitive motion by offering specific cushioning to avail shock absorption and move your forward.

Saucony offers lightweight shoes built for all types of running with features to keep you comfortable and protected for miles. The Kinvara is one of the lightweight neutral running shoes. Now in its tenth form, the Kinvara continues to lead the industry in innovation.

To celebrate a decade of lightweight innovation, Saucony is offering a limited edition Kinvara 10 featuring the shoe’s original iconic design and colorways. Here are 5 notable features of Saucony Kinvara 10 you should embrace.

Engineered mesh upper

The Kinvara’s engineered mesh upper is designed to be breathable, comfortable, and supportive, locking in your fast feet. And let’s not forget the heel. Thanks to Saucony’s Flexflim technology, a lightweight material melded to the upper, the collar and tongue are padded to avoid any abrasion or discomfort. The achilles of so many runners, the internal heel pods in the Saucony Kinvara improves the lock-down fit ensuring the heel is comfortably and snuggly in place.

EVA midsole, EVERUN topsole

The midsole is made from EVA foam, and topped with Saucony’s classic EVERUN topsole construction for enhanced energy return and solid cushioning. The EVA keeps the shoe neat and spruce while EVERUN provides an energetic and smooth ride. We used Kinvara 10 during several intervals, long runs and tempo workouts and were impressed with the shoe’s ability to hold up on different terrains without feeling weighed down.

The outsole

The outsole construction makes for a minimal look and feel. Made of extra rubber on the toe and the heel to protect high-wear areas, the outsole is purposefully sparse to maintain the shoe’s lightweight. The Kinvara 10 is a shoe designed for distance and speed. You won’t find extra weight added to the outsole. Not only it helps move freely to run, but is also ideally worn on the track or trails.

FORMFIT performance contoured footbed

The Kinvara 10 features some new improvements. The FORMFIT performance contoured footbed is built from the foot down for better connection to your run. The top layer is a soft sockliner that conforms to your foot shape.

Heel-to-toe drop

Heel-to-toe drop, sometimes called the “slope” of a running shoe, will also influence how the shoe feels while you run. This describes the difference between the amount of material under the heel and the amount of material under the forefoot. The Kinvara 10 with a 4mm heel-to-toe offset delivers a more natural ride, helps absorb the impact the landing, and let your feet and body do more work while relying less on the shoes’ cushioning and stability features.

The 10th Anniversary

With a range of key features across the Kinvara design, Saucony is making the 10th-anniversary limited edition Kinvara 10 a noteworthy shoe. This successor to the Kinvara 9 is constructed with the double-jacquard knit mesh upper with 3D overlays making the shoe lighter, stretchier, and stylish, together with the other highlights aimed at increasing durability and stability.

If you’ve not run in the Kinvara 10 or you’re considering to run in it, this shoe should give you a fantastic experience and performance.
