Been running on the treadmill and already used to running the same usual one-mile run workout? What if I told you the next time you workout, to run an extra mile, you may already think “I’m tired already” or “I don’t think I have what it takes to finish it”. Well, to even have the chance to go further, you’ve already failed the first test by disqualifying yourself mentally.
What if you take on the challenge and go that extra mile? That extra mile might just be your key to success to move forward further.
So, what are you waiting for, lace up your running shoes and plug in your headphones, because this season it is time to build your running stamina and endurance to go that extra mile while running.
Additionally, here are some tips for you that will help you increase your mental and physical endurance.
1.Set A Goal For Each Run
Before running, try setting a goal to motivate yourself through a cardio-intensive workout outdoors or even on the treadmill.
We all have to start somewhere. Start small and achievable goals. For instance, it can be distance goals, like planning to run two miles, or time goals, like running for 30 minutes.
Over time, as your runs get easier, modify your goals to increase your challenge.

2.Track Your Progress
It is always good to track down your progress, to keep you on track. Try recording your distance and time for each of your workouts and see how your overall endurance improves.
You can easily track these through an app on your phone. For example, Nike Running, RunKeeper, and many more. The fun part about these apps is that you can invite your friends to the app and work out with them.
3. Play Your Best Playlist
Many runners find that music can be a form of rhythm when they are running, and it can be a good pain distraction.
So head on to Spotify or youtube and create your own personal playlist that is tailored to your workout.

4. Distract Yourself
We understand that running is not easy for everyone, but exercising your mind during your run can help to take your mind off pain temporarily.
Try pondering on daily problems or think about what to cook for dinner. This lack of focus on the task can allow your body to do what it has been trained to do, rather than have the mind slow the body down.

5. Learn To Love It
Finally, seek satisfaction and joy in running. Treat running as a reward rather than a task. In fact, running can be considered as a reward as each extra mile you run is an achievement itself.
Besides that, try to make your runs fun and exciting. Find the reason why you run and reflect on your running helps relieve stress, clears your mind, and keeps you healthy.
