Under Armour Feels The Force


Under Armour suits up boys and men like their favourite Star Wars characters.

American conglomerate, Under Armour, shows tribute to the iconic Star Wars films with the launch of the “Star Wars: The Imperial Collection”, in collaboration with the premiere of the 7th installation of the franchise before the initial release date in mid-December. The new apparel series is an extension of the ongoing collaboration with Star Wars for the label’s Alter Ego line.

Following the collaboration, the collection features designs of the iconic body armour of characters on the ultra-light compression top that delivers a tight fit to keep muscles fresh and quickens recovery time. For a more casual purpose, graphic tees are also available in the collection.

As an example, the full armour of one of Star Wars’ most emblematic villains, Darth Vader, is imprinted in one such design, and another features a play on the instantly recognizable phrase, “the dark side”. In the Darth Vader baselayer, the sleek black armour is replicated in the compression shirt, representing the character’s relentless resilience, in line with Under Armour’s I WILLTM mantra to never give up. Other designs feature the signature pristine white armour of the Storm Trooper characters, elite soldiers of the Galactic Empire.

Under Armour has taken the designs of characters’ on-screen apparels, which pave a clear direction for men to feel invincible and attain challenging goals as they suit up. Moreover, it brings Star Wars fans a step closer to their favourite film characters.
