
Running crew will help you with your training routine as you get to train smarter. Most of the crews will have different types of workout to cater to most of their runners. Be it a long run or a speed session, you can choose whichever session with your crew, something that you will most likely not do alone. On top of that, other runners would motivate you to go faster and stronger during each session.
Via running crew, I am also exposed to running movements around the world. Whenever I travel overseas, the first thing I would do is to find out about the local running crew. My travels were made more memorable by exploring the city by foot. I’ve been to Berlin twice for the Berlin Half Marathon and BMW Berlin Marathon in 2016. Since our crew has a good relationship with the local Berlin crew, they took care of my accommodation and showed me around town by running, in which we enjoy the most. We learned more about the local culture, how they run in a different climate and on top of that, we make more friends.
If you are looking to improve your running or to make more friends or any other reason related to running, join any running community/crew now. Be humble. Open your mind to learn new knowledge and to also share your knowledge. If you are already in a running crew, try to contribute to the crew and absorb as much knowledge at the same time. Please keep the harmony among other communities as well. Run with whoever you are comfortable with. Avoid creating unhealthy competition among running crews and most importantly, respect each other. The road is for us to share.
