Coming from two competitive and different dragon boat racing teams, Koay Jin May for KL Barbarians and Khoo Taik Guan for Pacific West, now turned the tide around and row in the same direction. SMALL BUT TERRIBLE
With her petite size and small figure who would have thought that Koay Jin May will emerge as the Best Female Winner for this year Under Armour “Test of Will” urban fitness challenge. Apart from that, she also bagged the highest scores for both male and female category.
Passion for sports runs deep in their blood. A badminton player for a father, basketball player for a mother and a ping pong athlete for a sister.
Therefore, it’s definitely not even a surprised that Jin May has the same love and desire towards sports. This 25 year-old fitness enthusiast was very active in sports ever since. She used to be a sprinter in her primary school and had been actively involved in all kinds of running events before entering high school. Her athletic desire is so strong that she decided to be involved in sports again by joining the volleyball team in college after years of running hiatus.
What Men Can Do, I Want To Show That Women Can Achieve As Well.
From one sport to another. Another door in the world of sports opened for this determined athlete when she joined the dragon boat racing team two years ago and piqued her interest for strength training. At first, her main objective of signing up to a fitness centre is to further improve her strength and endurance in order for her to achieve better performance and support for her team in dragon boat racing as it is a sport that requires good teamwork.
“I like crossfit. It’s more intense, it will lose fat and build muscle. Maybe that’s why the UA Test of Will fitness challenge didn’t give me many difficulties because the set of exercises given is my usual set of exercises at the gym. Yet, I didn’t expect to win”
Jin May utters while smiling. Winning Test of Will challenge hasn’t even crossed Jin May’s mind. She only signed up with the sole purpose of getting UA goodie bags. This charmer has a fond of collecting goodie bags from different fitness challenge she joined in for the past years, and UA Test of Will is not an exception. After knowing that she’s the overall winner for the female category, being surprised is an understatement for Jin May. This girl got more than what she’s aiming for.
