25th November 2018, Shah Alam – Besides just a colorful fun run, I&P (Member of Setia) strove to build the community with a strong message to encourage the community to develop a healthy lifestyle.
The second edition of Alam Impian Colourful Fun Run took place at its art-related public park in Alam Impian Township. Surrounded with a forest of 45 different tree species, runners were not only delighted by clear skies and morning sunshine; but also relished in the 5km route running along the 32-acre central park full of lush trees as well as tranquil residential homes.
The Colourful Fun Run started at 7am on Sunday and was flagged off by Yang Berusaha Tuan HJ Rosli Bakar, Setia Usaha Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam as well as Yang Berbahagia Datuk Yuslina Mohd Yunus, Executive Vice President of SP Setia, in a fun atmosphere and much anticipation amongst runners and spectators alike.
Living up to Alam Impian’s new tagline – “where nature embraces art”, the Colourful Fun Run immediately attracted runners by captivating activities such as The Best Dress Competition, Aerobics, Zumba, Drumcircle Performance, and K9 Dog Demo by PDRM, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Beyond the fun, The Colourful Fun Run was a great way to spend time with family and friends, and a great opportunity for the competitive runners to achieve better results. As running is fast becoming the most popular way to exercise in Malaysia, the event saw approximately 1,200 runners including those who lived within the Alam Impian township who showed tremendous enthusiasm, contributing to the success of this event – true to SP Setia’s livelearnworkplay development philosophy.
The male winners were: Prabudass Krishnan, Ahmad Luth Bin Hamizan, and Vasanthan Balakrishnan. The female winners were: Savinder Kaur Jogindr Singh, Izamaryati Binti Mazlan, and Aimi Izatul Akma Binti Ahmad Azam.
